"I just came across this web site. I served at Webb from 1966-1970 as a jet engine mechanic with the 3560th FMS. Seeing these pictures brings back many memories of my youth. I do have a question thou. I'm trying to figure out which hanger is hangar 25. I worked out of,,I beleive a hangar known as T-2 or T-4..I can't remember if thats even the correct designation. We removed and repaired ,or replaced the engines in the T-38's and T-37's. I remember my hangar wasn't far from the motor pool or the engine shop. Isn't aging great,,,lol."

Look forward to visiting your Museum in my next cross country drive."
"My first husband, 1/Lt. Robert E. Ryan, USAFA '69 trained at Webb AFB from September 1969-September 1970. He was KIA Laos 30 Oct 71 in an 02-A. We enjoyed our time at Webb AFB. The group of guys he trained with were really special. I have pictures of some of them but I no longer can remember their names. "
"I am a graduate of UPT Class 62-B, and would like to hear from any graduate of Class 62-B. I attended the last reunion and am planning for the 2009 reunion. The guest speaker for the Saturday Reunion Dinner, Col. Julius Jayroe, was my OIC at HQ USAF, PRIA when I was assigned there as a reservist, IMA. He had an honorable and distinguished career and will be an interesting speaker."

"My family and I attended the Veterans Day Memorial on May 25, 2009 and then went to eat lunch at Hangar 25 after the memorial. I was truly humbled by the somber mood of the men and women paying their respects to our fallen heroes at the Memorial. Honoring the soldiers, remembering them and respecting what they have done to keep our wonderful country free. I don't know when Veterans Day changed to Memorial Day or when it became just a reason to have a day off to bar-b-que and drink beer. I guess we have our soldiers to thank for the privilige to choose whether to stay home and grill or to pay respects to the brave men and women of our armed forces.
Thank you to the people of Hangar 25 for keeping the memories of the soldiers of Webb Air Force "alive" for future generations. I learned a lot of history today in our tour of Hangar 25. I have lived in Midland all my life and today was the first time I had ever gone to Big Spring to learn about the Webb Air Force base.
I will be back for the 2010 Memorial ride to the Viet Nam Memorial and also to visit Hangar 25, only this time I plan to bring along more family.
God Bless the USA and volunteers at Hangar 25 for keeping history alive!"
"I was a member of class 62-H and we loved Webb and Big Spring Our class stil has reunions every five years and we relive our pilot training days. One of my daughters was born at the base hospital, A bunch of us in our class lived over near the Junior College. It was just like base housing. I had the honor of flying the last student flight accomplished at Webb in the T-33. Overall, it was a wondrous year and Webb and Big Spring will always be in our thoughts. Thank you to the residents of Big Spring for being so wonderful to all the USAF people at Webb. God Bless you all.

"I was stationed at Webb AFB straight out of Tech School, Sheppard AFB from Dec. 72 through June 74. I was in the Civil Engineering Squadron and worked all over Webb. I especially recall working on the tower during stormy weather. My shop Sgt. was McDavid and he was a great leader. He made sure we had great working relationship with all the vaious shops. I especially remember the bowling ally, the theater, the Airman's Club, and of course after I made Sgt. the NCO club. I still have memories of the first "gas shortage" of the 70's and how it affected all of us. I left the Air Force and came back to Austn Tx. where I met several of the civil service folks that were reassigned to Bergstrom AFB after Webb AFB closed. I drove by Big Spring last month (April 09) and saw Hangar 25 and just drove around what used to be the base, brought back some memories, all good. Thank everyone for the hard work on the web site and most importantly the Hangar. I hope to make the reunion. Great Job!!!"
